Blooms of Joy
A Seasonal Flower Arranging Activity for Seniors

Blooms of Joy is a delightful and therapeutic activity designed to engage residents of in a creative and nature inspired endeavor. This activity encourages seniors to express their artistic flair while fostering a sense of connection to the changing seasons and local community through the use of locally grown seasonal flowers.

Flower Folly Farm is a micro farm in historic Unionville, PA. All flowers are grown organically without pesticides using sustainable practices.

The program works as follows:

• Week One: Introductory to fresh flower arranging session. 1 hour session scheduled by care facility
  Materials: (provided by FFF or facility)
  Includes delivery of bucket of stems
• Vases or containers for flower arrangements Floral scissors or shears
• Procedure:
• Introduction and explanation by FFF instructor Flower selection
  Design planning
  Arrangement creation
• Personal touch Share and discuss Display and enjoy
• Week or bi weekly schedule:
• FFF delivers 50 - 75 seasonal blooms and foliage in a flower bucket.
• Blooms of Joy for seniors is an enriching activity that not only brings joy and beauty but nurtures the wellbeing of seniors in your care facility. It is an opportunity for them to connect with nature, their creative spirit and fellow residents while crafting stunning floral arrangements from local blooms.
